As you may know, Arlington is planning a very large construction project under the playing fields at the Cardinal Elementary site. It will be a joint project of APS and the County.
Attend this virtual meeting to learn about the construction of the stormwater detention vault that is proposed to be installed under the athletic fields at the new Cardinal Elementary School. At this meeting, County and APS staff will review plans for the vault construction and answer questions from the community. The Presidents of the Leeway Overlee, Highland Park/Overlee Knolls, Tara-Leeway Heights and Westover Village civic associations have written a letter supporting the stormwater detention vault scheduled for construction under the Cardinal school playing fields. The attached letter explains the necessity for the project and requests that APS work closely with neighbors to minimize disruptions from what will be a very substantial project
